JobPath, Republic of Ireland
The Department of Social Protection (DSP) will soon be launching the tendering process for the JobPath – a new programme of activation aimed specifically at the long-term unemployed (over 12 months) and those most distant from the labour market. JobPath will be delivered by third party employment services providers under contract to the DSP. The programme will supplement and complement existing DSP/Intreo, Local Employment Service (LES) and Job Clubs capacity.
The programme aims to move people on the Live Register into sustained employment, thereby reducing the number of people on the Live Register. Provision will be delivered in 4 Contract areas based on DSP Divisional Structure:
1 – Border Midlands West (West, Midlands North, North East, North West)
2 – Cork Central, S East & Mid Leinster (Cork Central, South East, Mid Leinster)
3 – South & South West (Mid-West, South West, Midlands South)
4 – Dublin (Dublin North, Central & South)
Providers will have 12 months to support the client into employment. Fees include an Attachment fee paid at the beginning of the 12 months and Outcome fees dependent upon the client entering employment.
We are looking for partners who are able to offer end to end delivery of JobPath as well as specialist interventions and training. We are interested in partners who are able to provide a high quality customer experience and who have experience of delivering employability outcomes.
Indicative timeframes for tender process:
- Contract Notice published December 2013
- Evaluation of Tenders – February/March 2014
- Contract Award – March/April 2014
- Go live – September 2014

G4S Welfare to Work believes in sourcing the best delivery partners who are experts in finding people lasting work and related areas such as skills support, debt advice and youth employment. We want to build on existing delivery partnerships and are committed to working closely with our partners to provide the best service possible. On that basis, we are always seeking new effective partnerships to strengthen our delivery models across all of our contracts. If your organisation offers high-quality services that help disadvantaged individuals move towards, and into, employment then we would be keen to hear from you.
We believe the Work Programme is an opportunity for our strategic partners such as Local Authorities and Skills Providers to have a real say in how services are commissioned, funded and delivered. Just as we know that the services to support workless people into meaningful, progressive employment already exist, we know that strategic partnerships are already established in many areas. G4S are fully committed to working closely with national and regional stakeholders, to enhance the delivery of existing contracts and support the development of new partnerships for services.
